BigBBQ
Challenge: Make an app for a restaurant which user flow is faster than ordering it via traditional phone call.
Solution: Introducing BigBBQ, a food delivery app designed for the customer ordering process. BigBBQ makes ordering your favorite dishes faster and more efficient, significantly reducing wait times compared to traditional phone calls.
Research and ideation
During the research phase, I identified the need for a faster and more efficient food ordering system compared to traditional phone calls. Interviews and user feedback revealed common pain points, such as long wait times and product errors during the ordering processes.
Based on this insight, I developed the concept for BigBBQ, a food delivery app designed to streamline the ordering experience. The goal was to create an intuitive platform that minimizes wait times and simplifies the process for users, resulting in a more efficient and satisfying food ordering experience.
User flow Planning
The application was planned using user flows analyzed from competitive apps. This involved evaluating how users interact with similar platforms, identifying their pain points, and understanding their experiences. By examining the pros and cons of existing apps, I aimed to design BigBBQ with a refined user flow that addresses common downsides and enhances overall usability, resulting in a more efficient and user-friendly food ordering experience.
Wireframing
I developed initial wireframes that allowed users to customize their orders effortlessly. The design also included features to display current offers and products, ensuring users could easily access relevant promotions and make informed choices while ordering.

I conducted two rounds of usability studies with two participants each. The findings revealed several key insights:
Offers Visibility: Users found it pleasant to access offers immediately.
Navigation Issues: Difficulty in locating specific pages was noted.
Iconography: Icons were not used effectively, leading to confusion.
Design & Spacing: The design and spacing were well-received, contributing to a positive overall experience.
Refining the design
Upon identifying the issues, I refined the design by improving the user flow, iconography, and design arrangements. This approach focused on enhancing navigation, making icons more intuitive, and optimizing design elements to address user feedback and improve overall usability.
